Symaga invests in new laser and welding technology
VILLARTA DE SAN JUAN, SPAIN — Symaga recently installed an 8kw laser that increases its productivity by 50% and allows it to process thicknesses of up to 30 mm.
The laser also provides an overall 75% savings in electricity and reduces the amount of gas during cutting operations.
Symaga, a manufacturer of galvanized steel silos, is investing to increase productivity while being environmentally friendly.
Its welding section has made progress in real-time monitoring of all tasks performed by robots, allowing the company to gather relevant manufacturing production data.
The new UPN welding group and the new robot are more powerful since they are made of pulsed arc welding equipment that increases speed and improves work on difficult surface edges. Additionally, ventilated welding screens have been purchased to prevent workers from breathing in welding gases.
