 Electro Slag Welding

Electroslag welding utilizes a consumable electrode (typically made of copper) and a granulated flux. The arc is initially struck between the electrode tip and the workpiece, which melts a portion of the flux. As the slag forms, it becomes conductive and maintains the arc.
